Croatia's Josip Glasnović and Giovanni Cernogoraz won the gold and silver respectively in the 'solo trap' discipline at the European Shooting Championship in Châteauroux, France.
Josip Glasnović said hearing the Croatian national anthem being played at the European Championships on Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day was a "historic moment".
He went on to say that it was "a proud day for all Croats, veterans and everyone who gave their lives for Croatia."
Meanwhile, Giovanni Cernogoraz said it was already a huge success to have both teammates in the final. "It didn't even matter who would win," said Cernogoraz.
"We won two new medals for Croatia in shooting, and that's a really big success," he added.
This comes just a few days after they won the silver medal in the team event.
