Veterans Minister highlights ongoing search for missing persons

Veterans Minister Tomo Medved commented on the ongoing search for missing persons from the Homeland War.

"To all those who have supported our work - thank you," Medved said. "A great deal of effort has been invested here - effort that often remains unseen, yet continues every day. We have built a strong organization and fostered interdepartmental cooperation that leads to real achievements. All of this is driven by our commitment to the missing and to their families, who have been searching for their loved ones for so many years."

The minister's words come following the recent identification of four Croatian defenders, including Frenchman Jean-Michel Nicolier, exhumed from mass graves near Vukovar.

Nicolier will be laid to rest at the city's memorial cemetery this Thursday at 1 p.m.
