A torrential downpour in Rijeka last night forced the Conference League match between Rijeka and Sparta Prague to be suspended. The game resumed this afternoon, with Rijeka securing a 1–0 victory.
Meanwhile, Dinamo played to a 1–1 draw against Malmö in Sweden in the Europa League. With the point earned, Dinamo dropped from first to fourth place in the standings. On Matchday 4, in two weeks, Dinamo will host Spanish side Celta de Vigo at Maksimir Stadium.
Dinamo head coach Marko Kovačević reflected on the match:
"You saw how we dominated in the first half but unfortunately we did not get the goal we wanted to put us in the lead. Even worse, we conceded one. We were weaker at the start of the second half but then dominated again. We tried everything and fought hard. I think the guys earned this point. They didn't give up. At the end of the day, any point earned in European football is welcomed."
