Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić is visiting Ukraine. Today he is meeting with his colleague Denys Shmyhal - they will discuss support for the Ukrainian defense industry.
Letter of intent on strengthening defense industry cooperation
“The two ministers will sign a letter of intent to strengthen cooperation between the defense industries of the two countries,” journalist Tamara Marković said for Croatian Radio Television news.
The meeting will not only focus on the continuation of Croatian aid to Ukraine, but also on the exchange of experiences on modern forms of warfare, including drone attacks, which have become every day in Ukraine.
“Ukraine,” she pointed out, “has made great strides in the production and shooting down of drones in the past four years, while the rest of Europe is just preparing for the establishment of a so-called wall against drones.”
Croatian companies from the defense sector are already operating in Kiev, among them DOK-ING, a pioneer in the production of unmanned vehicles that are used in the demining of liberated areas in the east of the country.
DOK-ING cleared 25 million square meters of mines
DOK-ING is among the Croatian companies already operating in Ukraine.
“We have 69 mechanical demining machines in Ukraine, and these are the machines that are currently used by the state emergency service and the special transport service. Our machines have already cleared more than 25 million square meters, which is more than 60% of the entire country. More than 10 thousand unexploded pieces of ordnance have been destroyed,” said Severin Lubkivski, DOK ING's Business Development Director in Kiev.
