The curriculum for the extracurricular health education classes was recently presented publicly by the Status M association at the "Comprehensive Sexual Education in a Local Context" conference. However, following a public uproar, the parties involved rejected claims that the material was designed to sexualize children.
MOST Party MP Nikola Grmoja held a press conference in the Parliament building on Monday, at which he commented on the proposed plans to introduce extracurricular Health Education classes in Zagreb next year. Grmoja presented to the media examples of the material for the classes, or so-called sex education slides, which have caused a public uproar over their explicit nature.
"Let me show you some of the so-called educational slides where children are asked. Does pleasure give you pain? What are your expectations from sex? What do you think about sex in a public place? So, this is an obvious and clear attempt to sexualize children. We will not agree to this and we will not remain silent. Our children are not guinea pigs for your insane ideologies and our children are not fodder for your experiments," Grmoja told reporters.
