The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has awarded contracts worth nearly 14 million euros for dozens of international sporting events that Croatia will host in 2026.
“We always emphasize the immense value of international sporting competitions. They not only promote sport, but also showcase our country and its values to the world. These events boost the economy, strengthen tourism, and foster national pride and unity. Whenever the eyes of the world are on Croatia, we can be proud, because we always strive to uphold the highest standards,” said Tourism and Sports Minister Tonči Glavina.
Highlights include the World Rally Championship in April, the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb this August, and FIBA’s 3-on-3 Basketball World Tour stop in Zadar in May.
