The Croatian national football team achieved its third victory in the first three matches of the World Cup qualifiers in the Faroe Islands, with a minimal 0:1 goal by Kramarić, giving Croatia three new points.

After convincing victories against Gibraltar (0:7) and the Czech Republic (5:1), the minimal triumph in Torshavn left the hosts not entirely satisfied, but nine points are there and Croatia is firmly in second place in the group, behind the Czech Republic, which has 12 points, but Croatia also has two games in hand.

According to an analysis by the website "Football Meets Data", Croatia is a big favorite for first place in the group, with an 89 percent chance of finishing at the top of the table at the end of the qualifying cycle, while the chances of second place and the playoffs are minimal, only 11 percent.

According to the analysis, Croatia is the sixth most likely direct participant in the World Cup from Europe, with France in first place with a 98 percent chance, followed by the Dutch (97 percent), Portuguese (94 percent), Norwegians (92 percent) and Spaniards (92 percent). Behind Croatia are Austria (89 percent) and England (82 percent).

Coach Zlatko Dalić's chosen players have their next test against Montenegro on Monday, and the likely key qualifying match will be the clash with the Czech Republic in Prague on October 9th.
