Foreign cruise ship trips on the Adriatic in 11 months of 2025 increased to 747

There were 747 cruise trips by foreign ships on the Croatian Adriatic in 11 months of 2025, which is 2.8 percent more than in the same period in 2024, while these ships carried 1.4 percent more passengers or 1.06 million, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

Passengers sailed on cruises on the Adriatic in 11 months of 2025 on a total of 95 foreign cruise ships, or ten more than in the same period in 2024, and they stayed in Croatia for a total of just over 1,680 days, or 2.6 percent more.


Cruise ships under the flag of Malta made the most cruises, 227, which is 30.4 percent of all such trips in the first 11 months of 2025. This is followed by ships under the flags of the Bahamas with 156 trips, Panama with 98 and Norway with 75 trips.


In two counties, Dubrovnik-Neretva and Split-Dalmatia, the most cruises by foreign ships were made, while among the ports, Dubrovnik and Split were the most visited with 546 and 308 visits, respectively, in the first eleven months of 2025. Three other ports had triple-digit attendance - Zadar (217), Korčula (121) and Hvar (106).


In November 2025 alone, there were 32 cruises by foreign cruisers on the Croatian Adriatic, which is two trips or 6.7 percent more than in the same month in 2024. However, a significantly larger increase, of 34.8 percent, was achieved with 48.7 thousand passengers who came to Croatia, which means that there were about 12,500 more of them.
