USKOK has filed an indictment with the Zagreb County Court against 24 Croatian citizens, accusing them of providing illegal access to streaming content as part of a criminal gang and earning more than €915,000 from the IPTV scam.
Prosecutors said the suspects, aged between 38 and 69, face charges including criminal conspiracy, computer fraud, and unauthorized use of copyrighted material.
According to prosecutors, the main suspects—a 59-year-old and a 47-year-old man—recruited the others into the organized gang and connected them with unknown accomplices in a scheme to profit from unauthorized access to copyrighted streaming content. The operation ran from January 2020 until November 2024.
The suspects offered the illegal service to customers in Zagreb and other Croatian cities for €10–15 per month or €80–200 per year.
