Croatian exporters hold their annual convention

The 20th convention of Croatian exporters was held in Zagreb on Monday. Along with the presenting of awards for the best exporters in 2024, the importance of further developing Croatian exports and the use of new technologies were also discussed.

According to the president of the Croatian Exporters Association, Davor Baković, integrating new technologies in business practices is no longer a possibility but a must if one plans to survive on the open market going forward. However, Baković stressed that it is important to control the process: "Today, technology is truly your co-driver. The question is not whether this transformation will reach us, as it is already here, but whether it will swallow us up. The real question we must ask ourselves is whether we will follow it or lead it."

For his part Economy Minister Ante Šušnjar noted that in a complex and crisis ridden world, it is vital to the Croatian economy to maintain its exports: "Exporting and doing business today, when the entire world is experiencing a series of challenging geopolitical and economic circumstances, has never been more demanding. That is precisely why your successes have even greater value, because they demonstrate the resilience, resourcefulness and ability of Croatian exporters to find a way even in the most difficult times."
