Bjelovar's 33rd Autumn Fair opens in Gudovac

The Bjelovar Fair is one of the largest and most important agricultural and machinery exhibitions in Croatia. It is held annually at the Gudovac fairgrounds near Bjelovar and is organized by the Bjelovarski Sajam Company. It serves as a central hub where tradition meets modern agricultural innovation in the region.

Bjelovar's 33rd International Autumn Fair opened in Gudovac on Friday gathering more than four hundred exhibitors. On display is state-of-the-art agricultural equipment and machinery, including some two hundred exhibitors in the National Livestock Exhibition.

Among those presenting their cattle is David Horvat, a dairy farmer from Kozarevac: "We currently have 24 cows in lactation; our goal is to increase that number, but we always say it’s better to have a smaller properly managed herd than a large one that isn't up to par."

For the President of the Croatian Salers Breeders' Association, Mirko Devčić, the fair is an opportunity for dairy farmers: "That is our greatest satisfaction when people with experience in milk production find solutions here for their future endeavors."

Also on hand for the opening was Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister David Vlajčić: "This fair is of the utmost importance to us within the landscape of Croatian agricultural exhibitions. The Viroexpo fair in Virovitica and this one here bring together the international agricultural community, creating immense opportunities for our exhibitors to open up new markets."
