Rijeka's football players are expected to face an extremely demanding away game at Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki on Thursday, where they will face Greek side PAOK in the second leg of the Europa League group stage play-offs.
After securing a one goal advantage following a 1:0 win over PAOK in the first leg played in Rijeka last week, coach Radomir Đalović said his team is expecting a hard game on Thursday night: "We are going to a difficult field and a heated atmosphere, but we must play bravely, as we did in the first leg. Let's play a tactically disciplined game and do everything we can to achieve a good result and win a spot in the Europa League."
Opening kick-off is at 19:30 local time.
So far Rijeka has qualified for the Europa League group stage four times (2013/14, 2014/15, 2017/18 and 2020/21). Whatever the outcome on Thursday, Rijeka will be playing in the group stage of a European competition for the fifth time, having already secured a place in the Conference League competition.
