The Sinković brothers and the Lončarić twins failed to qualify for the final of the men's four at the World Rowing Championships in Shanghai.
The Croatian team finished in a disappointing fifth place with a time of six-minutes and one-point-three-one seconds.
Valent Sinković said it was unfortunate that the team didn't make it to the finals.
"We lacked coordination and power. You can't have everything. The competition is unforgiving and they make you pay for your mistakes. So, we are going to have to fight it out in the B final and try to win," he said.
Martin Sinković said he was still proud of the team and all the work they had put in during training. However, he said they were not at their best.
The B final, which will determine positions five through ten, is scheduled to take place on Friday.
Interestingly, this marked the first time that Valent had not made a finals since his debut at the 2007 World Championships.
