Perišić leaving Hajduk!

Hajduk, on the eve of an important return match in Conference League qualifiers against Ružomberok, is rocked by the conflict between coach Gennaro Gattus and the big star of the Split club, Ivan Perišić, who will leave the club.

The sports director of the club, Nikola Kalinić, who met with Perišić this morning at the Poljud Stadium addressed the public:

“I am really sorry that an atmosphere was created that had an extremely negative impact on the club, but also for Ivan and his family, they experienced numerous inconveniences. It was known from the first day that Ivan would probably stay until the end of the summer. Unfortunately, in the last few days there were disagreements that resulted in an amicable agreement, and both parties calmly concluded that cooperation would no longer continue. In the coming days, we will make a decision whether it will be a separation in the form of a transfer or a mutual termination of the contract. Due to the extreme importance of the match ahead of us on Thursday, the full focus is on the second leg. I invite the fans to support the team and the entire coaching staff so that we can win and qualify for the Conference League playoffs.
