Opposition party Možemo! on Thursday criticized the Croatian government for failing to condemn Israel’s interception of a flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza and the arrest of hundreds of activists.
Možemo MP Jelena Miloš accused Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman of remaining silent while other countries voiced concern over the incident. She stressed that the rights of the detained activists and crew — including one Croatian national — must be protected.
“We are demanding that their rights be protected, that they be freed. These people boarded ships to deliver aid to starving people. They have done nothing wrong,” Miloš said.
She added that instead of taking action to help ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Grlić Radman had “chosen to say nothing.”
