The Standard & Poor's rating agency has confirmed Croatia's credit rating of 'A-' with a positive outlook. This means that Croatia has maintained the highest credit rating it has ever had.

In its report S&P emphasized positive factors such as resilient economic growth, strong fiscal indicators and the benefits of Eurozone membership, while emigration and the state of the population are cited as long-term constraints on growth.

In a statement issued on behalf of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković by the Croatian Government the Prime Minister emphasized the positive message the confirmed rating sends to potential investors.

Excerpt from a statement issued by the Croatian Government:

"The A-level credit rating is a confirmation of the confidence of international financial institutions, as well as a positive signal to investors. It is also a message of the responsible management of public finances, stable economic growth and effective absorption of European funds. In its report the S&P once again emphasizes political stability, which is key to the Government's numerous achievements. The goal of all Government policies will continue to be to increase the living standards of citizens, reduce inflationary pressures and stimulate Croatia's economic development."
