Croatia received €835.6 million on Monday through the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility - their sixth tranche of funds to date.
Croatia has so far received €5.3 billion from the facility, which is around 53% of the total allocation, including initial funds allocated at the start of the plan.
Croatia's overall Recovery and Resilience Plan is financed by €10 billion in grants and loans.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said the government was working hard to meet all the necessary criteria in order to absorb all available funds.
"We are taking this very seriously. Every two weeks, the government, in the closed part of our cabinet sessions, goes through everything we need to do in this regard. Overall, we are quite satisfied with our efforts," said the prime minister.
"The reforms and investments associated with this payment will drive positive changes for Croatian citizens and businesses, in particular in the areas of healthcare, the fight against corruption, geothermal energy research and hydrogen development, water resources management, resilience to natural disasters, electricity networks on islands and energy security," the European Commission said in a statement.
