On Monday night, more than 150 thousand people gathered in Sinj for a Marko Perković 'Thompson' concert.
Police said an extensive traffic jam leaving the concert meant thousands of cars were stuck until the early morning hours.
"It was a painstaking process," said Split-Dalmatia Police Chief Marko Srdarević about clearing the traffic. "We were prepared. We were aware that the 48,000 vehicles that had come into the city would also have to leave Sinj," he added.
Interior Minister Davor Božinović said that except for the traffic, the concert went off without a hitch.
"I think the most important thing is that people had fun; that was obvious from the video footage I saw this morning. And here were no injuries. Yes, people were stuck in traffic, but that will soon be forgotten," said the minister.
Early last month in the nation's capital, Thompson set the world record for the largest ticketed concert ever, with an estimated attendance of half-a-million people.
