The captain of the Croatian national football team, Luka Modrić, will be on the player list that head coach Slaven Bilić will announce on Monday for the matches against the Czech Republic, Spain, and England in the Nations League, the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) announced.
Luka Modrić confirmed to coach Slaven Bilić and HNS president Marijan Kustić that he remains available to the Croatian national team in the new edition of the Nations League. This will continue the legendary international career of the player who has left an indelible mark in 202 appearances for Croatia and led Croatia to the greatest successes in history.
“Of course, I am extremely pleased with Luka's decision because we all know what he represents and means for Croatia on and off the field. I am especially glad that after 14 years we will work together again and share a strong ambition for Croatia to be high-quality, successful, and on equal footing with the best in the world,” said head coach Slaven Bilić.
The head coach will present the list of players on Monday ahead of the September gathering for the matches against the Czech Republic (September 26 in Prague), Spain (September 29 in Seville), England (October 3 in Rijeka), and Spain again (October 6 in Split).
