Guest Tour of HKPD Bosiljak in Mexico

HKPD Bosiljak will travel to Mexico from October 6 to October 27 to represent Croatia and the whole of Europe at three international folklore festivals.

Alongside their concert performances, they will meet with the Honorary Croatian Consul and the representatives and members of the Croatian-Mexican Association during this tour, for whom they will organize a special program and folklore workshops.

The Croatian Cultural and Educational Society Bosiljak (Hrvatsko kulturno prosvjetno društvo Bosiljak) was founded on November 1, 1895, in Čučerje and has been active ever since. In 1896, the society received its first rules and the name "Bosiljak". The founder and first director of Bosiljak was teacher Bogumil Žugec, with the support of the local parish priest Franjo Matošić. Through its work, "Bosiljak" spans three centuries of successfully preserving and presenting traditional Croatian culture.
