Dinamo Zagreb celebrated their 26th Croatian championship title on Sunday with a 2–1 victory over Varaždin at Maksimir Stadium, in front of 14,500 spectators.

The title had already been secured earlier in the day, after Rijeka and Hajduk Split played to a scoreless draw, leaving Dinamo with an unassailable 12-point lead over second-placed Hajduk with four rounds remaining.

The win capped a special day for the club, which was also marking its 115th anniversary.

It is Dinamo’s 19th national title in the past 21 seasons, underlining their dominance in Croatian football. The streak was interrupted only twice — both times by Rijeka, including last season.

On the pitch, Dinamo sealed the celebrations with a 2–1 win over Varaždin, putting the finishing touch on their title triumph.

Striker Dion Drena Beljo scored the decisive goal, taking his tally to 36 goals in all competitions this season, including 29 in the league.

With four rounds still to play, Beljo is closing in on the long-standing record of 34 league goals set by Eduardo da Silva in the 2006/07 season.

Dinamo will play out the remainder of the season with fixtures against Gorica away, Hajduk at home, Slaven Belupo away, and Lokomotiva at home.
