One of the bigger corruption cases of recent years is moving closer to a trial after the Zagreb County Court confirmed the USKOK indictment against former INA executive Damir Škugor and five others on charges related to the illicit trading of natural gas between 2020 and 2022. The Constitutional Court is facing disruption after three judges refused to participate in its work. The European Investment Bank has signed a €25 million loan agreement with the City of Varaždin to support sustainable urban development.
