Žaklina Jurić Published a Book about Successful Young Dalmatians

The book "The Best of Dalmatia" by Split journalist Žaklina Jurić, which brings stories about successful students of the University of Split and their academic achievements, was presented on Thursday at the University Library in Split.

The book originated from the journalistic column of the same name that Jurić published on the portal Dalmacija Danas, introducing young people, their academic successes, talents, and life challenges.

Author Žaklina Jurić explained that she launched the book out of a desire to permanently record the students' successes and make them a motivation for future generations.

"These students are the greatest treasure that Croatia has," Jurić emphasized, explaining that through the book, she wanted to preserve the stories of young people who deserve greater public attention.

The Prefect of Split-Dalmatia County, Blaženko Boban, said it is nice to see a book that brings positive stories at a time when the media, as he assessed, are flooded with negative news and content created with the help of artificial intelligence.

"This was written using a certain new technology that was very popular. Here, it was written with that new tool – empathy, soul, love, and heart toward these people who truly deserved it," Boban said.

He added that there are many more excellent young people in Split-Dalmatia County and Split, even more than what the impression in the public sphere suggests.

The book "The Best of Dalmatia" brings testimonies about a generation that has achieved significant results through knowledge, effort, and perseverance.
