The coalition government agrees on Ante Žigman as its candidate for governor of the Croatian National Bank. The opposition in parliament voices concerns over the fact that Žigman is married to the incumbent Regional Development and EU Funds Minister, Nataša Mikuš Žigman. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tomislav Ćorić says government's anti-inflation measures have the support of its coalition partners. The Speaker of Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković was received in a private audience by Pope Leo XIV on Wednesday.
