The announcement of a new public tender from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, worth 21.2 million euros, opens a new chapter in the development of e-mobility, so the current number of electric vehicles in Croatia could double by the end of next year, announced the Strujni krug Association on Friday.
The association points out that, in addition to the current tenders for crafts and legal entities, a tender targeting taxi companies and delivery vehicles, worth around 45 million euros, will soon be published. It is estimated that through these tenders and regular market purchases, the total number of electric vehicles in Croatia could increase significantly.
“This is a key moment for e-mobility in Croatia, and the number of electric vehicles on our roads could double by the end of next year. Incentives are a strong impulse, and our goal is to make the transition to greener transport simple and accessible to everyone,” said the president of the Strujni krug Association, Hrvoje Prpić.
The current tender, published last week, already brings concrete opportunities for companies and trades that plan to electrify their vehicle fleet, according to Strujni krug.
The incentives cover up to 40% of the value of the vehicle, and it is possible to receive support of up to 90,000 euros per applicant, or up to 10% per company or trade. Applications are being accepted from October 15, exclusively electronically via the eFZOEU system.
Strujni krug notes that, unlike previous years, car dealerships no longer submit applications on behalf of customers, but this time customers open an account themselves, fill out applications and attach documentation, which makes the process more demanding, but also more transparent.
In order to facilitate the application process for its members, Strujni krug has prepared detailed instructions, guides and support throughout the entire procedure.
