Stepinac returns to Krašić: relics in home parish for a month

The relics of the blessed Alojzije Stepinac were escorted from the liturgical space of the blessed Alojzije Stepinac on Kaptol to Krašić.

“Since the morning, numerous believers gathered in the liturgical space to pray personally and pay their last respects to the relics before their departure,” reported Kristina Jozić for Croatian Television.

On the way to Krašić, the relics stopped at two Zagreb parishes – Špansko and Kerestinec – where the faithful had an opportunity to pray and pay their respects.

Upon the arrival of the relics in Krašić, a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated, led by Zagreb Archbishop Dražen Kutleša.

Kutleša invited believers to make a pilgrimage to Krašić

Archbishop Dražen Kutleša invited all believers, in a time of numerous social challenges, to make a pilgrimage to Krašić in order to “be filled with the peace and courage that Stepinac encouraged throughout his life”.

“While we are tirelessly followed by news of wars, hostilities and violence, I invite believers to make a pilgrimage to Krašić during Advent, venerate the relics of the Blessed and remain in adoration before the exposed Blessed Sacrament,” he said.

“May this act confirm our fidelity to Christ and gratitude for the Blessed, as we persistently pray for the day when his holiness will be recognized throughout the Church,” said Kutleša.
