The government has unveiled a new Culture Card program aimed at encouraging young people to participate in arts and cultural activities.
The initiative was announced at the Interliber Book Fair in Zagreb. Starting January 1, young people turning 18 will receive €100 to spend on cultural events and products over the course of one year.
Culture Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek said the goal is to inspire young people to explore a wide range of cultural experiences.
“They will have a phone app they can use to pay for books and tickets for the theater, movies, and museums,” said Obuljen Koržinek.
