The annual Good Food Festival came to a close on Sunday, bringing another successful tourism season in Dubrovnik to a celebratory end.
The popular culinary event, now a beloved local tradition, is the city's way of saying thank you to both visitors and residents after months of bustling summer activity. The festival showcased the very best of Dalmatian cuisine - from classic seafood dishes to modern takes on regional specialties - with all proceeds donated to charity.
Julijana Antić Brautović, Director of Dubrovnik's Department for Culture, Heritage and Tourism, highlighted the scale and spirit of this year's event.
"This year we have 65 representatives from various restaurants and catering services. The table is 200 metres long and stretches along the entire Stradun," she said. "This event is organized to give thanks to the people of Dubrovnik and our tourists for another successful tourism season."
Chef Mate Matić from Hotel Bellevue echoed that message of gratitude, saying the festival is as much about community as it is about food.
"This is just to show our gratitude to the tourists and our local population. We want to show what we can do by offering some local food and delicacies," said Matić.
The Good Food Festival continues to grow each year, attracting visitors eager to experience Dubrovnik's authentic culinary traditions and vibrant local atmosphere. As the city wraps up another record-breaking season, the festival serves as both a celebration of its hospitality and a heartfelt thank-you to those who make Dubrovnik one of the Adriatic's most beloved destinations.
