The documentary-feature film "Fiume o morte!" by Igor Bezinović won the award for best European documentary at the European Film Awards in Berlin, which are presented by the European Film Academy.

The film innovatively speaks about the historical episode of Rijeka, in which the citizens of Rijeka recount and reinterpret the story of the 18-month occupation of the city in 1919 under the leadership of the Italian poet nad proto-fascist military leader Gabriele D'Annunzio.

It was produced by the Restart company, produced by Vanja Jambrović and Tibor Keser and in co-production with the Nosorogi company from Slovenia and Videomante from Italy.

The film had its world premiere at the Rotterdam festival, where it won the festival's main prize and the FIPRESCI critics' award. It has traveled the world from Australia, Canada, the USA and Taiwan to Mexico, while it also was shown at the New York MoMA, and was included in about 50 festivals where it won numerous awards, including six Golden Arenas at the Pula Film Festival.

It achieved significant success in Croatian cinemas, and was also selected as the Croatian candidate for nomination for the Oscar Award of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and for the Goya Award of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Fiume o morte! was also nominated in the category for Best European Film.
