Celebrations in Krašić Mark Anniversaries of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac

October celebrations in Krašić are being held throughout the month at the Parish of the Holy Trinity, featuring a rich spiritual programme dedicated to anniversaries associated with Blessed Alojzije Stepinac.

On Wednesday, October 7, the program will include Mass and the presentation of the book 'Alojzije Viktor Stepinac - Letters from His Detention in Krašić', edited by Monsignor Dr Juraj Batelja.

The October celebrations carry deep historical, spiritual and national significance, connecting the life and legacy of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac with the Krašić area.

On Saturday, October 3, the parish marked the 28th anniversary of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac’s beatification with a solemn Eucharistic celebration led by Zagreb Auxiliary Bishop Monsignor Marko Kovač. The celebration was followed by Eucharistic adoration and the Stations of the Cross, along with a gathering featuring local Krašić specialities.

On Sunday, a solemn Mass was celebrated, followed by an outdoor blessing of bread and thanksgiving to God for the fruits of the earth. The day also marked the 800th anniversary of the death of St Francis of Assisi.

On Wednesday, October 7, at 6 p.m., Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli will preside over a solemn Eucharistic celebration at the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity in Krašić, on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. This will be the first parish in Croatia that he visits and where he celebrates Mass in Croatian.

Before Mass, at 5 p.m., the parish church will host the presentation of *Alojzije Viktor Stepinac - Letters from His Detention in Krašić*, edited by Monsignor Batelja and published by the Postulation Office for the Canonisation of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac. Archbishop Girelli will also attend the book presentation.

Both the book presentation and the Mass will be broadcast live by Laudato TV.
