In the finals of the Men's Horizontal Bar at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Tin Srbić won Olympic silver, bringing Croatia its eighth medal!

The 2017 Montreal World Champion and silver medalist at the World Championships in Stuttgart two years later, and a two-time silver medalist at the European Championships (2019, 2020), thus won his first Olympic medal.

It was also the eighth Croatian medal at the Games in Tokyo, with the third silver after three gold and two bronze medals.

Tin Srbić entered the finals as a third-place finisher in the qualifications with a great exercise, with a start of 6.2 and finally a score of 14,633. However, for the finals he was preparing his strongest exercise with a start of 6.5 announcing that he was going for all or nothing.

The risk paid off and with a great performance he won silver with a score of 14,900, which equaled the best score of his career.

Croatian gymnastics is thus celebrating another Olympic medal after Filip Ude won silver at the Beijing Games.

Only Daiki Hashimoto of Japan, who was the best in the qualifiers as well, bettered Srbić. In the final, he won gold with a score of 15,066, while bronze was won by Russian Nikita Nagorny with 14,533.
