Luka Modrić's career at Real Madrid is over, and he left the club as the most decorated player in the history of the Madrid giants.
Luka Modrić wore the white Real Madrid jersey for the last time in the infamous 4-0 defeat to PSG in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, which left him without the opportunity to add another trophy to his rich collection for the end.
Modrić has worn the Real Madrid jersey since 2012 and has become the most decorated player in the long and rich history of this world football giant. He has won 28 trophies. He played a total of 597 games for Real, scoring 43 goals and registering 95 assists. With Madrid, he won six Champions League titles and four Spanish titles, among other things.
The legendary midfield line Modrić - Kroos - Casemiro will remain in the memory of all true football connoisseurs, and with Modrić's departure from Real Madrid, the last of its cogs has also left, after Casemiro said goodbye first, and then Kroos.
Many reacted to his last match.
“It's official: Luka Modrić has ended his career at Real Madrid. Thank you legend,” wrote Madrid Zone, and many media and fans wrote in a similar tone on portals and social networks.
