18th Croatian contingent sent off to NATO mission in Poland

The 18th Croatian contingent has departed for Poland as part of a NATO mission. From the 132nd Brigade Barracks in Našice, 52 Croatian soldiers were sent off to carry out their duties on the Alliance's eastern flank using Bradley fighting vehicles, which will be deployed in this NATO activity for the first time.

Platoon Commander Lieutenant Stjepan Pandžić described the preparations for the deployment, stating that they had "completed a demanding process, from individual squad training to full military training."

Master Sergeant Anto Lučić, the first non-commissioned officer of the armored-mechanized platoon, explained the role of the Bradley vehicles within the "armored-mechanized unit."

"They serve as our protection. These vehicles have been integrated into our unit, all possible firing drills have been conducted with them, and they have participated in all exercises, proving to be a good shield for the soldier," he said.
