According to a flash estimate by the Bureau of Statistics, annual inflation in Croatia reached 3.4 percent, making it the second-highest rate in the euro area, behind only Slovakia.

Finance Minister Tomislav Ćorić said, “Inflation in Croatia is still somewhat above our target. Government and central bank projections for 2026 and 2027 expect it to converge toward the desired rate of around two percent.”

Among the main components, services saw the largest increase at 7.2 percent. Energy prices rose by 3.7 percent, while food, beverages, and tobacco products increased by just over three percent.

“The structure of inflation in services is an issue we must address urgently,” the minister added. “However, it is encouraging that prices of food and some non-energy goods are currently showing signs of stagnation compared with previous years.”
