This winter, Croatia will be directly connected by air to 25 countries, with the most frequent routes to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) reports.
Beyond Europe, direct flights will also link Croatia to Qatar, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
HTZ Director Kristjan Staničić emphasized the importance of air connectivity for Croatian tourism, particularly outside the summer months. He said efficient flight connections help attract visitors year-round, support sustainable tourism, and make Croatian destinations more accessible to international travelers.
During the winter season, Croatia will be connected to 69 foreign cities, with 151 airlines expected to operate. The busiest routes are projected to be Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Amsterdam, and Istanbul.
Zagreb Airport is expected to handle the highest number of flights, followed by Split and Dubrovnik. Croatia Airlines, Ryanair, Trade Air, and Lufthansa will operate the largest number of domestic and international routes.
