Anušić: Croatia looking to France for combat drone partnership

The world's largest aviation trade show is taking place in Paris this week and it is and opportunity for Croatia to promote its defense industry.

This is the largest aerospace event in the world, and brings together all the key players from the industry and potential buyers in one place. It is a major opportunity to make major deals in civil aviation but also defense.

Croatia is looking to ramp up production of small combat drones. Defense Minister Ivan Anušić says Croatia is in talks with France for a possible partnership.

 “Croatia produces more than 200 thousand small drones annually and it could easily scale up to half a million and take on a larger role. It's important to underscore that we need to partner with NATO allies and we are in talks with France which is ready to work with us in selling these drones. We've agreed that France's defense minister will visit our drone factories on his next visit to Croatia,” said Anušić on Monday.
