The City of Zagreb's mobile damage assessment teams will begin their on-site assessments on Wednesday. The roughly one hundred two-man teams will be documenting the damage from the recent storm that hit the capital. Those eligible will receive up to seventy percent coverage from the city.
Filip Ćurko from the Committee for the assessment of storm damage explained the procedure: "When the appointment is scheduled our maintenance team comes, defines the damage in a written report with supplemental photographs. We will do our best to speed up the process of processing and assessing all of the damage reports, so we expect the first payments will begin during the summer or in September."
The deadline to submit damage reports is Sunday April 12th, until the end of the day. They can be filed via a digital application available on the official website of the City of Zagreb. All citizens who need help filling out the application can call 095 351 7889 and 095 392 3886, email nevrijeme@zagreb.hr or come to the City Administration in person during working hours.
Damage can be reported for residential buildings and personal vehicles, agricultural land and buildings owned by individuals. Internal damage and to common areas will not be taken into account.
