Osijek hosts the Walk for Life

A "Walk for Life" pro-life procession was staged in Osijek on Saturday, with hundreds of citizens gathered on the banks of the Drava River and walking along the promenade to Freedom Square.

The motto of this year's walk is; "The first step is the law! Life is a gift - Let's protect it with a just law!" Organizers and participants called for the protection of life - from conception to natural death.

“We're here today to support life for all those little ones who cannot fight for themselves. People today are lost in the nuance of what to do in this or that situation, but ultimately, God calls us to do good,” said Jasna Pavičić from Đakovo.

“We also want to support all mothers who may be in some doubt, who don't really see a way out. To let them know that there is always a way out and you just have to make a decision and ask for help,” added Gabrijela Škrabo from nearby Ivankovo.

The coordinator of the Osijek "Walk for Life" Lidija Blagojević added that it is important to support mothers who made the right choice: “This year, with this walk, we want to thank all the mothers who chose life, in spite of difficult prenatal diagnoses and in spite of the difficult situations they found themselves in.”
