To mark the 100th anniversary of Hrvatska radiotelevizija, the iconic patriotic song “Moja domovina” (“My Homeland”) has been re-recorded in a new version performed by nearly 300 children and young people from across Croatia.

Originally written in 1991 during the Croatian War of Independence, the song became a powerful symbol of unity, hope, and patriotism. The new interpretation aims to pass that message on to a younger generation.

The project brought together contestants from The Voice Kids, the HRT children’s choir, and numerous choirs from Croatian music schools. The creators sought to preserve the emotional strength of the original while offering a softer, more youthful interpretation.

Music producer Nikša Bratoš praised the energy and dedication of the young performers, while Hrvoje Hegedušić highlighted the children’s enthusiasm throughout the recording process.

The accompanying music video also pays tribute to the legendary artists featured in the original recording. Young performers recreate the roles of beloved musicians such as Dino Dvornik and Oliver Dragojević.

Project manager Gordana Škaljac Narančić said the new recording is not only a musical retrospective, but also a message for the future - a reminder that a hopeful future should be built together.
