Nominate Candidates for the Domovnica Award

As of October 15, 2026, nominations are officially open for the 21st choice of the most popular Croatians living abroad and the "Domovnica" award (Kroatischer Heimatpreis), with a submission deadline of November 15, 2026!

The "Domovnica" is a prestigious diaspora award jointly organized by Fenix-magazin and Večernji list. It is awarded to Croatians living outside of Croatia who promote the country's reputation worldwide through their work, talent, success, and contributions.

Proposals can be submitted by individuals from the Croatian diaspora, Croatian emigrant associations, clubs, and communities from all over the world—spanning Europe, the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand.

As in previous years, nominations can be submitted under the following categories:

• Sport

• Music

• Acting and Show Business

• Most Popular Croatian Association

• Most Significant Event of the Year

Nominations must be submitted by November 15, 2026, via the organizers' email addresses:

• Fenix-magazin: [e-mail]

• Večernji list: [e-mail]

Following the November 15 deadline, an expert jury will review all submissions and determine the final list of candidates. In addition to the jury's evaluations, readers of Fenix-magazin and Večernji list will cast their votes during a traditional three-round voting process. The awards ceremony will take place in Bad Homburg in February 2027.
