A two day meeting of the European Peoples Party opened in Zagreb today. The focus of the meeting is on preparations for the 2019 elections for European Parliament. EU foreign ministers, including Croatia's Marija Pejčinović Burić, have called on Bosnia and Herzegovina to accelerate election reforms, which will ensure the equality of all three constituent peoples, Croats, Muslims and Serbs.

At the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund in Washington, both institutions have reported that Croatia has succeeded in recording a lower budgetary deficit than expected for the second consecutive year. However they also note that a high level of public debt continues to present a problem for Croatia's economy. MOST leader Božo Petrov says that Prime Minister Andrej Plenković is most responsible for the Agrokor crisis. Shareholders and investors have raised the question of the culpability of the Baker Tilly auditing company, which previously conducted audits of the Agrokor concern but failed to uncover any irregularities.

Three newly confirmed Constitutional Court judges, Miroslav Šeparović, Mato Arlović and Goran Selanec took their oath before President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović today.
