The Croatian national handball team secured a 29:25 victory over Slovenia this evening, marking their third consecutive win in the main round of the European Championships in Malmo, Sweden.
Coach Dagur Sigurdsson said: “It was a difficult game, especially in terms of concentration. There were mistakes on both sides, but I think we played very well. The support from our fans was crucial—when players get tired and lose focus, the supporters push them forward. Thanks to them for that. Now we have 22 hours to prepare for the next game.”
A win on Wednesday against Hungary would guarantee them a spot in the semi-finals.
Croatia is the reigning silver medalists from last year's World Championships in Zagreb.
