Inflation in Croatia surges by 5.8 percent on an annual basis in April. Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tomislav Ćorić blame the war in Iran for the spike in inflation. Parliament adopts amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax under urgent procedure. Opposition says the inflation is the result of poor government planning.
