Entrepreneurs gathered in Zagreb today for the latest conference of the Croatian Employers’ Association.

Leading business figures, politicians, and union representatives discussed the state of the economy, plans for the next decade, and the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Despite the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, and rising inflation, participants said Croatia still has strong growth potential.

“Croatia is running fast, but we can run even faster. We don't need to wait for perfect conditions; we need to create them, and that is only possible if we support each other, communicate ideas, and push each other forward. We have very good years ahead of us, and therefore, dear entrepreneurs, let's be brave, maintain high standards, and set ambitious goals,” said association director Irena Weber.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who attended the conference, pledged continued government support for business.

“Croatia will be orderly and stable. I will ensure that we are politically stable, that you have all the prerequisites for the economy to move forward. We will invest in defense and security, and we will make laws in all sectors, and especially tax policies, so that it is easier and simpler for the economy than it was before,” said the prime minister.

The conference underscored optimism among Croatian entrepreneurs, emphasizing collaboration and innovation as key drivers of future economic growth.
