From Monday, January 2, citizens will be able to exchange kuna for euros in 1,016 post offices, and kuna can be exchanged throughout the year in 2023 in all post offices in Croatia, according to the Croatian Post.

Up to 100 banknotes and 100 HRK coins can be exchanged free of charge. Above these amounts, a 1.5 percent fee is charged on the amount of the smallest denominations.


If amounts greater than HRK 750 are exchanged, the exchange must be announced.


If possible, kuna banknotes and coins should be sorted by denomination.


In the first two weeks, during the period of dual circulation, payment in kuna in one transaction can be made with a maximum of 50 coins and the corresponding number of banknotes.


On New Year's Day, January 1, 2023, only the 10000 Zagreb post office will be open, and from Monday, January 2, post offices throughout Croatia will work according to regular working hours, according to the Croatian Post.
