Work is underway to refurbish the Zagreb Hippodrome six weeks after the record-breaking "Thompson" concert which drew half-a-million spectators.
The singer's management team has assured that the venue will be returned to its former glory.
"Construction issues, which are the most complex, must be resolved first," said the president of the Zagreb Equestrian Association, Marko Ulaga, on Tuesday.
Ulaga said he hoped the works would be completed within a reasonable period of time and in accordance with the findings of the relevant experts.
The Zagreb Equestrian Association, which manages the 75-year-old hippodrome, insists that everything must be returned to how it was before the concert organizers took over the premises on 24 May this year.
For their part, Zdravko Barišić, manager of Marko Perković "Thompson", said the trucks and excavators had arrived on the scene this morning.
"Repairs to the grounds, especially the galloping tracks, are underway. I believe that everything will be finished in about 10 days' time. Not only will we return the racecourse to its original condition, it will be much better than before," said Barišić.
The "Thompson" concert on 5 July was the largest ticketed event in history.
