The minister explained that they have grouped a network of aid providers so that the Caritas and Red Cross humanitarian organizations have united with other representatives of the civil sector, so they have unique carriers to ensure that aid can be distributed in a coordinated manner through such a network.

Labour and Pension System, Family and Social Policy Minister Marin Piletić today presented five contracts worth €40 million as part the program to provide assistance for those in need. He also noted that government’s measure to help the neediest members of society have borne fruit: "Regarding poverty in Croatia, we as the Government have done a lot so far, and that is why we believe that this indicator of reducing the number of people in severe material deprivation from 12.5 percent in 2016 to 2 percent in 2024 is the result of the work and measures not only of the government but also of economic growth."

For her part, Caritas director for the Zagreb Archdiocese Sister Jelena Lončar said that the program is of huge importance for those who rely on Caritas: "We are responding to the call to alleviate poverty by providing assistance to the people most in need by distributing food and basic material assistance to the whole of Croatia."
