Croatian President, Zoran Milanović, visited the flood-endangered area of the town of Petrinja, that is, the embankment along the right bank of the Kupa River, where members of the Croatian Army are engaged, announced the Office of the President.
The embankment, which was damaged during the earthquake, is threatened by the high water level of the Kupa River, so members of the Croatian Army, 70 of them, have been strengthening the embankment with sandbags since this morning.
The Deputy Commander of the Croatian Armed Forces Command and Operations Center, Brigadier Robert Suntešić, Chief of the Petrinja Civil Protection Headquarters Željko Tonković, Petrinja Firefighters Commander Zvonko Ljubičić and Sisak-Moslavina County Fire Chief Marijo Paluh, gave a report to President Zoran Milanović on the activities of members of the Croatian Army and the situation in the flood-affected area.
