Damage reports are being accepted from March 30th to April 12th, until the end of the day, exclusively via a digital application available on the official website of the City of Zagreb. All citizens who need help filling out the application can call 095 351 7889 and 095 392 3886, email nevrijeme@zagreb.hr or come to the City Administration in person during working hours.
Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević has called on citizens to report storm damage by April 12th via a digital application available on the City's website. He announced that the City will cover 70% of the damage to residential buildings and vehicles. He hopes that the first payments will begin in September.
Damage can be reported for residential buildings and personal vehicles, agricultural land and buildings owned by individuals. Internal damage and to common areas will not be taken into account.
Mayor Tomašević pointed out that the application to file a damages claim is easy to use and also allows uploading photos of the damage: "We think the application, to which photos of the damage can be uploaded, is user friendly. Citizens who are unfamiliar with digital platforms can call us and someone will come in person to help them fill out this preliminary damage report. They can also come here during office hours on weekdays. Our goal is to have all damage reports submitted by April 12th. As with last time, the City of Zagreb will cover seventy percent of the damages, with a maximum amount per building of fifteen thousand euros."
The city will also cover 70 percent of the damage to personal vehicles that is not covered by insurance, and up to a maximum of 5 thousand euros per vehicle. Citizens who sustained damage to both a residential building and a vehicle, are required to fill out separate reports.
