“Croatia is a maritime country, and our sailors honorably guard the Adriatic and protect the rights and interests of the Republic of Croatia at sea, which is of exceptional importance at a time of the disturbed global security situation,” said Anušić.

He pointed out that the Government of the Republic of Croatia is modernizing and equipping all branches of the Croatian Military, including the Croatian Navy.

“One of the important modernization projects of the Croatian Navy is the construction of coastal patrol ships, the completion and introduction into operational use of which will improve the existing capabilities of the Croatian Navy, therefore the Ministry of Defense and the Government will do everything to complete the project of building four coastal patrol ships,” he added.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, Admiral Robert Hranj, and the Commander of the Croatian Navy, Rear Admiral Ivo Raffanelli, presented the achievements and challenges of the Croatian Navy.
